South Coast Property Awards Winners
Awards honour cream of south coast property sector
The South Coast Property Awards 2019, held at the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton, recognised 60 finalists in 15 award categories.
Organised by The Business Magazine, it is the south coast’s biggest property event. More than 400 agents, builders, investors, lawyers, architects, planners and consultants attended.
The awards were sponsored by Amiri, Blake Morgan, CBRE, CoStar, HBS Group Southern, Highwood Group, Imperial Homes, Lambert Smith Hampton, Moore Blatch, MSP Capital, Smith & Williamson, and Trethowans.
Dutton Gregory sponsored the drinks reception and media partner CoStar compiled property deal data. The awards were also supported by the three property associations covering Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Southampton.
Welcoming the guests, Peter Laurie, head of client relations at The Business Magazine, said: “This is the fourth year of the awards and they are going from strength to strength.”
Laurie chaired the panel of 18 judges and thanked them all, particularly the independent judges, who brought a wealth of industry knowledge to the difficult process of selecting the finalists and winners.
“I was impressed by the fairness and diligence of all our judges. Without them, we wouldn’t have an awards competition,” he said.
Adrian Chiles, one of the UK’s most recognisable broadcasters, hosted the evening. Currently on Monday and Tuesday’s 5 Live Daily, he has been a prominent figure on television and radio for over 20 years.
Chiles treated the audience to a lively assessment of his career, motivations and inspirations.
Guests raised nearly £4,000 on the night for The Rainbow Centre. The charity supports adults and children and those caring for them, who are affected by neurological conditions. This helps them to reach their full potential in all aspects of their lives and to live more independently.
